St Martin’s church, Bowness on Windermere has a Boer war memorial dated 1903 in churchyard and within the church a memorial chapel for both World Wars which includes stained glass windows, plaques, and a memorial organ.

No, I haven't, at least not for the Boer War. There isn't an accompanying plaque with names inside the church but there must have been men from Bowness/Ambleside who served and died. I'll try to find out what the local newspaper back then was and see if I can find time to check the back copies.
