P.S. I realise the ASC is only a cap badge, just ran out of room on my other frames!

Very nice Paul,
Expensive too, these days, I alawys feel that many people get carried away by the Victorian examples, but, in actual fact, generally speaking, the Edwardian pieces are so much scarcer, they all died a death in 1914, as the particuar form of dress was withdrawn because of the Great War, it really was Great Britain and her "red little army" before then.
Interestingly, with officers, in some of the county regiments that were not always in the public eye and those not involved in royal duties, in particular, the Victorian plates did last well into the last century, nobody tells an officer of field rank that he is contravening dress regulations!

Only a modest collection, stopped collecting when my attention turned to medals.
Mainly HPC which were more affordable.
Have them displayed in frames (glass removed for pics)

So how many plates have you got and do you display them or is it all boxed or in drawers etc.

Paul,
Can you tell me, just why is it, upon going to any fair here, that the only really nice examples of other ranks centres attached to the universal glengarry plate, being offered for sale, are always those worn by the Irish regiments?
