My avatar is not a medal but a rarely seen "Oath of Allegiance" which was signed on his release by a Boer soldier captured at Paardeberg. His ABO medal along with the medals of his son who saw service during WW1 and WW2, were included. There was also an original official photograph of the 1937 Coronation South Africa Contingent with the names printed underneath with his son as one of the members.

My avatar (finally got round to uploading one when I saw this thread) is a photo of 'D' troop Rhodesia Regiment at Fort Tuli. I have a pair to Cyril Castleman, Tpr No 66 Rhodesia Regiment at the time they were at Fort Tuli . He was in 'D' troop so I like to think he's in the photo.
