So what is the Welsh connection?
Assuming the same man?

Both parents born in London, Paternal GF born in Devon, Paternal GM born in London, Maternal GF Swiss, some doubt about where his Maternal GM was born but probably London.

In 1890 he was proposing that the Arctic Ocean should be dynamited to correct nature's shortcomings and in 1889 patented a "sketchers frame".
