PS I have always liked Natal Rebellion medals. It was the Colony of Natal's only 'war' fought alone (i.e. no Imperial assistance, but lots of Imperial criticism). It more or less pacified Zululand for 90 years.

Rose Willis, co-author, died last year. She was much-loved on the Karoo for her lively articles on its history.
