I have racked my brain with this one and still come up empty handed. I recently acquired a Rhodesia clasp QSA to 684 Tpr. H. Meibohm of the B.S.A.P. - despite my best efforts (here read Ancestry/NARS/Familysearch/BNA/FMP) I can find no trace of this mans identity.

Does anyone have access to resources I don't? I can find no record of him in Africa - the name is of German descent and, although it could have been spelled wrong by the authorities, I doubt this as there are many with that surname.

Regards

Rory

Rory,

It is odd that you cannot find him as your sources are very comprehensive. The BSAP seem to be his only service. might there be some paper records in Zimbabwe?

I searched through the Men who made Rhodesia without any matches.

Best wishes

He is a bit of an enigma - I also looked at Hickman's books to no avail. I've got Adrian Ellard onto it now, hopefully he can come up with something - I'm leaning towards Heinrich or the anglicisation - Henry - but still nothing.
