A memorial postcard
War memorial. Dated 1904. Battered square granite pedestal
with bronze memorial tablets on three sides, and coved plinth.
2 larger than life-size figures of soldiers in action, mounted
on a rock base. They are equipped with bronze rifles.

Paul,

Is this the theme where the wounded soldier passes on his remaining rounds to his comrade so that he can continue the fight?

Do you know if the monument is still there?

Best wishes
David

Hi David,
Yes I think you are correct, here is a link with more information.
It looks thankfully that the memorial is still around and well looked after.
