This appeared in the Evening Express of 6th November 1899, although it may have been reproduced in other Welsh newspapers.



Left to right: - Pioneer, Private, Bandsman, Drummer, Bugle-drummer, Regt. Goat, Drum-major.

The gentleman on the right, would certainly be a Goat Major these days, one wonders how many years he had actually been in "the reins" I dare say a few at least.

The private (second-left) looks to be quite a bit shorter than the other soldiers, although perhaps they're all quite tall.
