Well just realised this is my post 2000
I had always hoped I would be able to make it a special one like my first Defence of Mafeking, but no such luck
Just wanted to say a big thank you to David for this superb site and friendly forum.
Also to fellow members for putting up with my quest for information and all the help received.
I realise most of my posts are based around my exploits "at Wakefield " but hope I have been able to contribute to this great site.

Hello Paul,
Is that Mafeking the only thing that's missing, if yes, then I would urge you to look beyond Wakefield and buy the first one that turns up, only if it is exactly what you have decided you are looking for in the first place, not rare in particular, but , these days very expensive in comparison to many other QSA's.

Yes, the only one that's missing.
It will be next year before I have the opportunity to pursue one, so no rush.
I will take my time and explore all avenues, I have learned to be more selective

I agree with everything David has said and with particular regard to that Mafeking, I would certainly define exactly what you want before parting with your money.
