The medals roll in the WO100 series, which include the QSA and KSA, are avaiable from the National Archives for free.

This are the instructions for downloading the rolls.

Use these pages to determine the roll reference you need:

- QSAs
- KSAs

The roll reference will be in the range WO100/112 to WO100/389

Click on this link to go to the first page of the roll WO100 rolls that contain QSA rolls :

If you scroll down the list of WO100 rol, you will come to 112 which is the first roll for the Boer War.



You can use the Next 30 button to move through the list.

When you have the roll you require, Click on Details:



Next, click on Add to basket:



The roll is added to the basket.



You can add more rolls but we will presume what we have is sufficient.

Click Continue to Basket



Click Checkout



Enter your email address.

Note the cost is zero.

Click Submit Order.

Click Download Now. You have to download the file within 28 days.

Save the file on your computer. The file is in zip format. You will probably be able to double click the downloaded file to unzip it. There are many free utilities that allow you to do this if your computer does not have appropriate software.

When I unzipped the file. my computer created a file called 1.pdf. Double clicking that file opened the PDF.
