2. Style of Name Unitt: CAN. SCOUTS, CANAD'N SCOUTS, CANADIAN SCOUTS

3. Bars on the medal.

4. If part of a Group the other medals in the group.

5. Country of Location. I do not want any personal information just Country.

All information will be kept confidential and I may possibly be able to pass on some information to you......

Thank you in advance for any assistance that you can provide.....

Mike,

That sounds a very laudable project. Good luck!

I used to have two such medals, QSA (1) CC impressed to 3895 Tpr: J.H.S. Hickman, Candn, Scts.

Does this one count? QSA (5) CC OFS Belf DH Joh (Lt A L Howard R. Candn: Dgns).

Best wishes
David

Hello Mike,
Now am I the only person on here that has noticed and loves your Canadian Scout Boer War sheet brass shoulder titles? Surely not!
Did these belong to owner of the QSA and Natal 06 in the photo and if so who was he?

Good Morning Frank.....

The mans name is Richard Samuel Rutter.....

QSA:

Rutter, Richard Samuel, Trooper, 38388, Australian, Service from 26th January 1902 to 30th June 1902, No previous Service, Entitled to Q.S.A. with Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901 - 1902 (1902 Missing).....

NATAL REBELLION:

Richard Samuel Rutter, Natal Rangers, Private, No Regimental Number on Medal, Bar 1906......

The CANADIAN SCOUTS shoulder titles are made of White Metal and are hand cut.... The CS did not have a cap badge they just wore some Black Feathers in their cap after the murder of their CO..... They wore the Canadian Maple Leaf as a collar badge..... Long after the war the members of the regiment who were from Australia had a badge made the letter "C" over the letter "S", but this badge is not official.....

When purchased it also came with a Photo stated to be Rutter but I cannot prove it as they are often added......
