The task of plotting the location of the medal-issuing Rifle Associations in Natal was more difficult than I imagined.

If anyone has more accurate locations for Upper Tugela and Mtshwati (in particular) and the other manually-named towns, please let me know and I will update the map.

[The map has been updated and appears in a later post]

David

I have understood that 'Upper Tugela' is the present day districts of Winterton and Bergville, so I would point the arrow to the circle for Bethany, which I presume was (and perhaps still is) a mission station in that area.

Hello David

Umlaas is about 30kms to the right of Wilgefontein from where I have placed it on the map you are using.
