This information is taken from WO 108 356. It is a list of FID
personnel from some time in 1900. The list is arranged alphabetically
by the first letter of the surname but the names within each letter are not
themselves arranged alphabetically. Having posted this information it
has been pointed out that the list contains the name of a man who joined in
October 1901. This throws a great deal of doubt over the catalogued
date for this information of 1900 and this should not therefore be accepted.
My thanks to Adrian for raising this point.
Note that a few men appear completely out of order eg Biddulph appears in
Surname D. It also gives you little faith in the Intelligence
Department to see them mistake Driscott's Scouts for Driscoll's Scouts and a
number of other unit errors! Note also that page 11 is must shorter
than the other pages.
The information contained is: rank, surname, initials and previous
unit(s).
