Time
The elapsed time from receipt of a request to delivery is difficult
to estimate. The time depends on the amount of initial information
provided, the depth of research requested and how quickly the
information can be found. We estimate that all requests will be
completed in 10 working days.
Urgent requests can be handled, albeit at a higher cost.
Delivery formats
The information found can be presented in any configuration of three
choices:
1. On A3 sheet of paper
2. As a high resolution digital image (emailed or downloaded
from a secure FTP site)
3. As a formatted Word and PDF file. Click here for

What we need from you to commence a search:
The More information you can provide, the quicker will be the search
for information and thus the lower will be the cost.
As a minimum, we require:
- the full name of the individual
- the name of the service/unit in which he served
- his service number (if applicable)
- approximate service dates
- whether he died in service
- the delivery format you require
Costs
To simplify the issue of costs, we operate on a time basis. The
standard charge for an hour's work is £20 (ex VAT) with time being used
in 30 minute blocks. The lowest cost is therefore £10 for up to 30
minutes work.
In addition to the hourly rate, paper copies and postage will be
charged at cost.
The production of a formatted Word and PDF file costs £10 ex VAT.
Note that sometimes there is no information to be found at the National
Archives. As this fact only becomes apparent after time has been
invested in the research, a charge for time is still made.
We will spend up to two hours searching for information.
If nothing has been found by this time, we will seek your approval
before carrying out any further research.
Payment
Payment can be made by Sterling cheque drawn or PayPal.
Terms and conditions
1. We reserve the right to decline any research request
2. New customers must pay in advance for all research.
Established customers must pay within 7 days of the information being
received to you
3. Items posted use the signed-for service to ensure receipt and
are charged for at cost
4. Prices are subject to change and variation and will be
confirmed at order placement
5. All prices exclude VAT which will be levied at the applicable rate
