I read your post and thought that I your Cheesman medal as Cheesman is not a very common name.....

I have not done much research on this man other than to check casualty rolls.....

Thanks chaps - just as I was beginning to dispair!

The date reference originated from Cam Simpson but no detail was supplied - hence my request for information.

Brett, with your permission I will add these details to my write up and, it goes without saying that, should I encounter any of Chhesman's medals, I will give you a call.
