The postman delivered these to me this morning :cheer:

904 Trooper Sidney Mindon Wheeler Natal Carbineers QSA and 262 Natal Volunteer Composite KSA
Medal rolls confirm all clasps
Trooper Wheeler had previous service with the Colonial Scouts from 30/11/99 and joined the Carbineers on 26/03/00
If anyone can offer any other information it would be gratefully received.

Hello, I was very excited to read about this medal as I believe it was presented to my great grandfather. My grandfather was Leslie Frederick John Crouch and Walter John Crouch was his father. I have attached a photograph of the man himself as I thought it may be of some interest to you as well as the page in our family bible documenting his birth.
I am researching my family history so any information you have that you could share with me would be greatly appreciated.
I am curious as to how it came to be in your possession. I lay no claim to the medal however should you wish to part with it at any stage I would be interested in having it returned to the fanily.
Regards

Hello Lesley.....

I have checked my records and I purchased the medal in 1986 at a local gun show that is held here every easter from a very well known dealer.....

I will put your request into my file for the medal and when the collection is broken up I will make sure that you will get first right of refusal.... As a number of my pieces will be going to special places home to units and back to special locations.....

Thankyou for the photo.....

Please see PM.
