There is no Buxton entry for Guide D.C.Trollip - but there are several Trollips; F.J. (Guide), L.H. (Agent or Guide), H.B. (Agent). Could be relatives? Later, I will have a look at the actual roll in case D.C. was missed.
Scout T.Mellett is confirmed with clasps as illustrated. Unfortunately, no additional information. 393 OFS clasps to FID.

Just now I went through the FID QSA/KSA rolls. Must take my hat off to David Buxton; some of the names are very hard to read. Anyway. no reference on the QSA roll for Guide D.C.Trollip. However, the KSA roll shows an entry for a Guide D.Trollip with a marginal entry says "Eastern Province Horse".

Thanks IL - Yes quite so - Trollip's QSA is to the Eastern Province Horse and his KSA to the FID

Book says 449 "other ranks" cases where QSA named to parent unit and KSA to FID.
