QSA (3) Cape Colony, Wittebergen, South Africa 1901 (4771 Pte J. T. Robinson. S. Stafford: Regt), suspension loose, edge bruise, minor contact wear, overall very fine

John Thomas Robinson was born at Cannock, Staffordshire in 1882 and attested with the 4th (Militia) Battalion, South Staffordshire Regiment on 17 April 1899 while still only 17. Embodied for service on 5 December 1899 and saw service in South Africa with the South Staffordshire Regiment, he is noted on the medal roll as having been invalided.

Spink say 'Further entitled to the King's South Africa Medal.' but this is not correct. The rolls verify QSA (3).
