Hi, I'm trying to find out more about my great grandfather. I have an original photograph which was taken in Loughborough where he had lived all his life. The War Museum tell me it dates from the Boer War. I visited the Leicestershire Regiment Museum but was told it is not their uniform. I would be grateful for any help. Many thanks

Hi David,
His name was Christopher Bailey. He usually used the middle name Ford. He was christened with Ford but it wasn't on his birth certificate. He was born in 1878.
