You have opened a Pandora's box as many people do not clean.......

but

I would take a soft tooth brush and some mild soap and water and see what happens.......

Hi Phil

I would submerge the medal in Tomato Sauce overnight. Yo can add some water if required.
Sounds strange, but will work on bronze medals.
Regards
Adrian

Hi Adrian......

That works to remove verdigris but can be very harsh on bronze it depends on the quality of the brass.......

DO NOT USE BRASSO....... It has toooooooo much grit and will damage the medallion.......

If you can find a polish called FLITZ from Germany it uses small pieced of fiber glass as a polishing agent instead of grit and works fantastic......
