My interest in the Boer War comes through those individual medal groups in my collection that contain the Q.S.A.
I look forward to reading the many posts that are new to me and as my knowledge increases hope to contribute to this fine forum.
Thanks
Keith

Hi David
Thanks for your welcome.
One of my interests is local groups from the South Central region of British Columbia. Before WW1 many Boer War veterans moved into this area. I continue to research these individuals and have been fortunate to acquire a few of their groups which I will be researching on this Forum They are very scarce on the market; so acquisitions are few and far between.
Other interests include single entitlement BWMs., WW1 R.E. with unusual trades(i.e. Postal Section) and service in out of the way regions and anything from this era that checks many boxes
Thanks
Keith

Keith,

That sounds a very focused theme. At the time of the Boer War, what was the population in BC?

Best wishes
David

Mike,

I hadn't heard of Kootenay before so looked it up and enjoyed seeing some pictures of the region.

Best wishes
