Hi lemondog
Welcome to the Forum
There are service papers for a Thomas Wallett on Find My Past but his no. is 4236
Here are the details you might recognise.
Born Dawley Shropshire 1882
attested with the Shropshire Light Infantry 27 Jan 1900 at the age of 18 years and 9 months
His occupation is listed as plasterer and he is stated as 5ft 6" and 118lbs
Brown eyes and dark brown hair his denomination was Church of England.
His service record shows he served for 49 days only.
Unable to find him in the medal rolls.
The other Thomas wallett you qouted was in the Durban Light Infantry according to the rolls on Ancestry.
Hope this helps.
