Hello, My name is Annette Taylor, I am doing some family history searching for one of my Great Uncles John Fenton born 1859 Clova, Angus, Scotland . He was in the Boer war I have some photos and am trying to find out where he was and what he was up to, so hence why I have registered on here. I have lots more photos

Looking at the pictures I would not be surprised if he was not in The British South African Police......

Here are your pictures.....

Hi, Yes I did find the Rhoedeisan Regiment on find my past. As you can see he was with Col Plumer on one of the photos, I have printed off an 18 page document of his whereabouts during Boer War hoping that might hold some clues. My uncle stayed on in Rhodesia after the war to man and build the railway, He died there in 1920 and is buried in Port Elizabeth. He also had these 2 photos in his album so am going to google them too

Yes sorry, the post was posted before I had time to write about the 2 photos, they are in the photo album with all the other photos I posted earlier. I am leading more towards John Fenton was in the Rhodesia Regiment. I am now going to google these 2 see what I can find.
