While searching the internet for memorials in my area I came across this story reported in the local newspaper.
rememberwhen.gazettelive.co.uk/2009/06/r...en-war-memorial.html
The story starts in 2009 and is updated this year, a voluntary group have restored the memorial and they have done a great job.

The next time I am in Redcar I intend to pay a visit.

Fantastic! Many thanks for posting this. What a nice little memorial it looks now that a terrific job of restoration has been done on it.

Hi Paul,

nice to see a memorial being restored; lets hope others follow.
