Good Morning Gentlemen.....

I checked my list of Town Guards against David's list and I have found a few that I have that are not on the main list..... Now this is a list that I have been working on/with for a long time and it may or may not be correct..... If not correct please let me know and I will modify the list that I have..... I understand that David's list is made up from medal rolls???? or Town Guards that rec'd medals??????

Many years ago in 1995 I attended a medal fair in the UK and was able to pick up 2 zip lock bags off one dealer, one with 6 Town Guards and one with 5 D.M.T.'s both for L 75 Pounds each and he had others..... Oh I wish I had a time machine.....

Here is my list:

Thank you for the list of Town Guard QSA's in your collection. I have paid little attention to TG's from the Cape Colony, but one on your list awoke such memories that I decided to add to my list of 'must haves'.

I had not known that Port Nolloth had a TG. This town played an important part in my life during my first period of employment after leaving university, so a tangible reminder of it would be a welcome addition to adorn the wall of our study.

Natie Greef at the Castle in Cape Town has the most incredible collection of QSA's to the Cape TG's. If you are ever in the area it is well worth a visit.

Hello Adrian,
Some of these are very rare indeed, often you get some very interesting stories when you start to dig a little, strange things were happening in some of these little backwaters when Cape Rebels turned up.
Moreover, some of these medals can still be had for surprisingly little!
