Wow Rory,

Now that's wonderful; most of the book is about Chris so it's a must have. He kept amazing diaries that Beverley brings to life and even brings the Battle of Magersfontein to life with his notes (and ode).

Reading the book I think he would be entitled to ABO, DTD, WW1 and WW2 medals as well and was a good leader rising to the rank of Major in the Union Defence Force.

I bought the book on eBay and it was shipped from NSW and there are a number of copies here in Australia.

It looks like it's available from a number of sources and isn't heavy so shipping should be too bad.

Enjoy!

Thanks Sturge

His full entitlement was the ABO/DTD. I'll try and source the book in the UK. I have communicated with the author on many occasions.

I have recently finished reading 'A Centuary of Wrong " by State Secretary Reitz.
Father of Deneys Reitz and ex President of the Oranje Vrystaat Republic.
I purchased the book on EBay in the UK.
The book is an eye opener and gives real insight to the diplomatic skullduggery going on from 1860's to 1899, leading to the ZAR's October declaration of war against the British Empire.
A good read. E
