It seems I owe the organisers an apology. However, concentrating on WWI should have left room for what would have been an original and unusual contribution on the ABW, the war that has given the Talana Museum its unique character.

Just for interest, for those keen on The Canadian Contingent, this has just popped up on the Anglo-Boer War Facebook page and might find relevance here. Certainly if you have a Canadian casualty. One aspect I had not expected to find. Canadian Native Indians serving in the Boer War.

The ABW Museum in Bloemfontein keeps/kept record of the Boer deaths, but I do not know the source thereof.

For those who died before the fall of Pretoria, the Red Cross kept record and lists of names were published in the respective Government Gazettes, but thereafter the record keeping fell apart.

As far as memory serves me, Field Cornets were supposed to keep record of casualties, but I suspect that few actually kept consistent record.

I doubt that you will find accurate records relating to Boer deaths after the fall of Pretoria.
