p3c The British Princess has arrived at St Vincent

Dateline Gibraltar, Sep 9. The Harwarden Castle arrived here and after landing drafts embarked 100 men of the Berkshire Regiment and 100 men of the Cameron Highlanders under command of Colonel Durney, 1/Berkshire Regiment The Harwarden Castle sailed this afternoon for South Africa.

p8b The Braemar Castle is expected to arrive at East India Docks next Friday. She is bringing nearly 600 deported foreigners from the Cape. The ship will call at Flushing and the passengers referred to will be desired to land there, those who do not land there will be transferred at the East India Docks to a vessel which will convey them back to Flushing. It is understood that none will be allowed to land in England.

The transport Assaye, with invalids anchored in Southampton waters last night. The Maplemore, from Table Bay for Albert Docks, arrived in the Thames on Saturday. The Manhattan, from East London for Albert Docks, passed Gravesend yesterday.

The Manchester Merchant, from London, left Queenstown on Saturday afternoon for Cape Town, having embarked 67 horses. The following were listed:

The Orotava left Queenstown yesterday afternoon for Cape Town with 30 officers, 1,387 men and 9 nurses. At Queenstown she embarked drafts for the following Regiments : Royal Welsh, Yorks & Lancaster, 3/Royal Scots, 3/KOSB, 3/West Riding and Royal Munster Fusiliers.

p3f The hospital ship Simla arrived at Las Palmas on Thuesday evening and left yesterday morning for Southampton. The Tagus arrived at Table Bay from Southampton yesterday.

p5c It is announced that between the present time and October 25, 14 vessels are expected to arrive at Cape Town with 12,915 horses and cobs for use by the Army. 6 ships from New Orleans with 5,785, 3 from Fiume with 3,030, 2 from Buenos Ayres with 1,850, 2 from Montreal with 1,500 and 1 from Sydney with 750. There are also 5,449 mules due at the Cape, 4 ships, all from New Orleans.

p9c The Harwarden Castle arrived at Malta yesterday from Gibraltar and embarked a company of the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment She will leave today for Cyprus and the Cape.
